CHASE, BC - On June 4th, Quaaout Lodge and Talking Rock Resort will be hosting a unique outdoor fashion experience that will showcase six Indigenous designers from across BC. Organized by Kim Coltman and documented by the Telus Storyhive crew, this fashion show could be considered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be immersed in vibrant Indigenous art.

The 2022 Indigenous Voices in Fashion show is a labor of love from Kamloops-based modeling agent, Kim Coltman of Fashion Speaks International. Coltman has dedicated years of her life to fashion and working alongside Indigenous models and designers, and this upcoming show will be no different. Platinum Sponsor, Telus Storyhive, has no small part in making this show a reality and helping Coltman provide a spotlight for these talented designers through a documentary funding opportunity.

Set under the beautiful landscape at Quaaout Lodge on the Little Shuswap, the event begins with a free indoor artisan market organized by the Indigenous Resurgence Project, followed by a remarkable outdoor fashion show under the trees, and wrapping with a VIP after-party to celebrate all the hard work that went into making this special event happen. The VIP party will include meet-and-greet opportunities with both the models and the designers, as well as viewing the fashion collection presented.

At every level of this event, Indigenous artists, businesses, and entrepreneurs are placed at the forefront of this special event. It is the mutual goal of Fashion Speaks International and the Indigenous Resurgence Project to support Indigenous voices, and this event is just one of the ways that is being achieved.

The indoor Resurgence Market will run from 2PM-6PM, with free admission. The Fashion show will begin seating at 5PM, starting the show at 6PM. Tickets for the fashion show are sold at two price points (General Admission at $38.15, and VIP at $59.37), and are being sold on Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/indigenous-voices-in-fashion-tickets-310240988147
